“Full Bloom” Tree Peony, Green Bay Botanical Gardens, Green Bay, WI

??????????????????????????????????????????????

I was looking for that one subject, that one of a kind. There were so many beautiful flowers in bloom, sculpture and enchanting architectural delights that it was difficult to make up my mind. My journey through the gardens had me quite confused as to what I want to share with you,the viewer. At last I came across one beautiful tree peony in all it’s glory.

“Waiting On the Deck”

??????????????????????

While waiting to leave this wonderful place I had stayed and painted at for the past four days, I could not help but paint my view from the window. I named it “Waiting on the Deck” because that is exactly what I was doing while I captured this serene moment in time. I am so pleased that my new collector found this piece at Cassy Tully Fine Art and Framing where it was on display, waiting for a new home.

“Little Patch O’ Sunshine”

????????????????????????

One day in late summer of 2013 I stood on the deck and looked out for some small subject that would jump out at me and beg to be painted. I had been indoors for days due to rain and that afternoon when the skies cleared – there it was. This lovely little bench sitting in a patch of sunlight. I quickly grabbed my brushes and went to work. This is what I had after about an hour of painting. I thought it was just enough.

“River Shannon” Athlone, Ireland

?????????????

It started out as a beautiful, sunny day as we traveled to the River Shannon where it passes through the city of Athlone. We set up our easels along the riverbanks and all morning I had the good fortune of having three gorgeous swans pose for me. I had to include them, as they begged to be in my painting.
After lunch, the skies suddenly opened up and it began to pour. We all looked like crazy people as we ran with our paintings for shelter at the nearest pub. The hot Irish Coffee was a wonderful way to end the day.
